DAY 90: MY Personal Progress Update…

ITS HERE BIKINI BODY MOMMIES… DAY 90 Of My BIKINI BODY MOMMY CHALLENGE  and MY OWN Personal Progress Results Are IN!

I want to let you all in on a little secret…. Just because I founded Bikini Body Mommy and lead this unbelievable movement, doesn’t mean that posting these types of personal progress pics or VIDEOS of myself after 4 pregnancies is any less terrifying than when the rest of you share yours. (Eeeeek! Please pass the wine and bottle of diazepam.)

On a serious note … I REALLY WENT ALL OUT on DAY 1 and showed things about my body that most women wouldn’t accept a million dollars to display.  Yes, you read that right … A MILLION DOLLARS.

90 DAYS LATER –– sans the 8.5″ inches of hanging, flabby, saggy mommy-belly, I’m SO glad I captured the state my body was originally in when I started.  I still have a ways to go, but if my progress footage inspires, helps, or empowers even one other BIKINI BODY MOMMY to realize that your body ISN’T RUINED and it ISN’T a “Lost Cause” after having kids — Then it was worth it. I can’t wait to see YOUR OWN PROGRESS PICTURES and read your stories about how the challenge over the last 90 Days has changed your own bodies… and lives.

BIKINI BODY MOMMY CHALLENGE: WORKOUT DAY 90

Hooray … YOU SURVIVED the 90 DAYS BIKINI BODY MOMMY!!! The Challenge ISN’T OVER after today, you can repeat it as many times as needed until you reach your goal (in my quest to lose 100 Pounds last year – I repeated it 3 1/2 times!).

Ok, enough stalling, you know what the next 8 minutes has in store for you — it’s time to see how much stronger and more fit you’ve become :)

It’s been a while, but it’s time to re-take our initial FitTest — Are You Ready?

As you likely remember… The FitTest Workout is comprised of only 8 body-weight exercises — lasting just 8 minutes long! But by now you know not to be fooled by it’s duration, IT’S A DOOZY!

Just a refresher on WHAT YOU’LL NEED: A stopwatch or an Interval Timer (set for 50 seconds — exercise/10 seconds — REST). If you have an iPhone, you can download the FREE app I use called “IntervalTimer.”

WHAT TO DO: Think of it as a game against the clock! Complete each exercise for 50 seconds — giving it all you’ve got, then rest for 10 seconds and record how many reps you completed. After your 10 second rest is completed — move on to the next exercise, and REPEAT.

1. SPEED SQUATS
2. HIGH KNEES
3. PUSH UPS
4. SQUAT JUMPS
5. TRICEP DIPS
6. BURPEES
7. ALTERNATING LUNGES
8. ELBOW PLANK

***It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you don’t rest for more than 10 seconds in between exercises.

Hey BIKINI BODY MOMMIES!

Today we are changing up your CARDIO.

I want you to focus on getting in a 20 Minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval) workout today.

 

The GOAL: 20 Minutes of HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING

Pick an exercise:

– Jump rope

– Climb stairs

– Mountain Climbers

– Jump Squats

Set your timer for one minute.  Perform your chosen activity at max intensity for that 1 MINUTE, then rest for 1 MINUTE.

**REPEAT exercise/rest intervals 10 times

Bikini Body Mommy Challenge: WORKOUT DAY 17

Welcome to DAY 17 BIKINI BODY MOMMIES!
This workout is comprised of 8 “mostly” body-weight exercises. Be sure to read the directions and only allow yourself to rest for the time specified!

WHAT TO DO: Think of this workout as a game against the clock! Complete each exercise for specified time. Give it all you’ve got, then rest and record how many reps you completed. After you complete the given exercise, REST for 1 MINUTE — then move on to the next exercise, and REPEAT.

1. SQUAT SWING (Set timer for 2 minutes, 1 minute per arm)

2. PUSH-UP “T-STANDS” (Timer set for 2 minutes and do as many as you can)

3. LUNGE KNEE-UPS (Timer set for 2 minutes, 1 minute per leg)

4. MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS (1 minute on these bad boys)

5. BICEP CURL “3 REP ROUNDERS” (Timer set for 1:30 – 30 sec of full range, 30 sec of half way down, and 30 sec of half way up)

6. STEP-UPS (1 minute per leg)

7. STRAIT-LEG SQUAT THRUSTS (Timer set for 1 minute)

8. HUNDREDS (Timer is set for 1 minute)

After exercise 8 YOU ARE DONE!

***It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you don’t rest for more than 1 MINUTE in between exercises.

Welcome to DAY 9 … it’s CARDIO TIME BIKINI BODY MOMMIES!

Remember that you have a CARDIO CHOICE here on the BIKINI BODY MOMMY CHALLENGE

YOU may choose a 45 minute cardio session OR a 20 minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout.

When done properly, a Bikini Body Mommy 20 minute HIIT cardio session can be JUST AS … if not MORE beneficial to our bodies then a 45 minute steady state cardio workout.

Good Monday Morning to all of you BIKINI BODY MOMMIES!

Welcome to WEEK 2! I hope that you enjoyed your rest day and are ready for another week of your BIKINI BODY TRANSFORMATION! In case you missed it last night, I posted another VIDEO for you on YouTube: http://youtu.be/Rq084goiqRQ

Welcome to DAY 8!

Today I am introducing a new exercise to you called “Body Builders”. The workout itself is only 10 minutes today ladies … so no excuses.

You’ll need to set you timer for 10 minutes.
Perform as many rounds of the “Body Builders” as you can.

Each Body Builder consists of these 8 steps:

1. Position dumbbells under shoulders in a plank position with toes parted wide.

2. Perform push up.

3. Row with right arm keeping elbow close to side.

4. Row with left arm keeping elbow close to side.

5. Contract your Abs and jump your feet in towards your hands so you land in a crouching position.

6. Stand up

7. Bicep curl

8. Shoulder press with BOTH arms over head.

This completes ONE repetition.

After #8, Return to the start (Plank Position) and repeat as many times as you can during the 10 minutes.

**If doing the push up while holding the weights HURTS YOUR HANDS… place your hands on the floor instead!

**If you have DIASTASIS RECTI  YOU’LL NEED TO MODIFY THE PLANK/ROW/PUSH-UP PORTION OF THIS MOVEMENT by leaving out the plank and push-up … For the “Row” I want you Perform a standing BENT-OVER ROW then continue with the bicep curl to over head press…

Be sure to record your score. We will be doing these several times through the BIKINI BODY MOMMY 90 DAY CHALLENGE and I am certain you will want to see your improvement over time.
